Our team has comprised a step-by-step guide to building your own mini greenhouse.
All you will need is:
- 6 Old windows
- Screws
- 2 x 3” hinges
Building a mini greenhouse
Step 1.
To start, you will want to use screws to attach three windows and create the sidewalls and the back wall of your greenhouse.
Step 2.
Next, you will want to attach two 3” hinges to the window that will be the front door of the greenhouse, to allow you to access the greenhouse.
Step 3.
Now the four walls have been attached, you will want to create the roof of your greenhouse. Take two windows and attach them to the frame, slanted, so that they form a point.
Step 4.
You have finished building the frame of your greenhouse, however, replacing the old glass window opens with horticultural glass will allow more light in and will help conduct heat, important for any greenhouse.
Using horticultural glass
Why should you use horticultural glass for your mini-greenhouse?
Also known as ‘greenhouse glass’, horticultural glass is perfect for greenhouses as it allows more light in than polycarbonate and also conducts heat to heat up the inside of your greenhouse, creating a comfortable environment for your plants to grow.
With our step-by-step guide, you can now build a mini-greenhouse in your garden regardless of its size.
If you choose to install horticultural glass, it is important to choose a trusted installer.
